Biometric devices for Automated Compliance Tracking

Currently, all counselors track patient compliance manually (by paper and pen.)  A patients progress is tracked on both an individual patient card and a patient information and tracking sheet.  Patient's cards are marked each time they take their dose of medicaiton until completion of their treatment. The records are then manually transferred to the computer for further compilation of data.

Operation ASHA is working with Microsoft to install bio-metric devices that will track each dose of medication taken by a patient. This will eliminate sources of human error and hold patients accountable for their treatment progress.  With the use of devices like these we hope to achieve 0% default rate.
